“We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. Rom. 15:1-2

Those who have been believers for a long time in Jesus Christ, who have grown rich in experience, who know the love and faithfulness of our covenant God….and who are strong in the Lord and in His power…………. need to look out for young converts and those more mature who are sometimes weak in their faith.

We would see much faster growth and examples of servanthood among our young believers if they were better nurtured and watched over. I know I was!

Because so many are neglected between the ages of 17 to 29, Nancy and I were called by the one who saved us to save others. We have felt it a duty to tend to a tender flock of young adults and watch over them until they were ready to stand on their own and then be servants in the church. 10 years with college-age and another 7 years with high school and jr.high.

This is what makes us happy: when we see many of you, and so many others who aren’t here tonight, become workers in the harvest…..kingdom-building work.

Sure, it touches us when someone calls us their “spiritual parents”. We are moved to tears when we get a simple thank-you for just being there for someone when they needed a shoulder to cry on or simply an ear to listen.

But, we get excited and feel very blessed when we have a hand helping sinners become servants. Our heart is glad when we see young men and women get the real idea of what REMEDY is all about: the eternal prescription--- a place where members are a remedy to each other—and oasis for fellow believers. Plus a ministry that can show a lost world or friend the remedy we call Jesus.

When each of you has the light bulb go on and understand that REMEDY is not about Randal and Nancy—but about you being salt and light---you bringing praise to our God-- you bringing someone else to our saviors feet.

It’s then that you’ll know what the Apostle John meant in his 3rd epistle: "I have no great joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” Vs4

Encourage others
Magnify in worship
Experience serving ministry
Develop faith thru the Bible and learn leadership by discipling
Young adults 17-29.
